The Secret World of Arrietty is the next of Studio Ghibli's movies to be released by Disney. It is also one more Hayao Miyazaki written movie that could be his last. We must treasure each and every one. You better be in theaters with me on February 17!

One more notch in the Evangelion fandom belt and it includes eyeglasses. Finally an acceptable alternative to cosplaying Rei day in and day out. I found these at Rinkya's Stores but they are all sold out! :(

Jellyfish Princess (entire series free on Hulu!) is an anime I just must spotlight. I worry where the story will end up but the journey there is one complete with an entirely different spin on your shoujo heroines. Here we have the quirkiest otaku girl brigade you could ever hope to find. These ladies consider themselves to be "freaks" and are too terrified of attractive people to pursue life ventures outside the house. That all changes when a gorgeous cross-dresser teaches them a thing or two.

I'm on the third episode of 11 total and can only say I love what I've seen. Great humor, super kawaii jellyfish and that's all a girl needs.

Mayoi Hahikuji from Bakemonogatari has been incarnated into one of the most detailed candy-cute figures imaginable. Frankly I know nothing of Bakemonogatari and I want it! Yes kill me crazed fans. Kill me for wanting a piece of all that is giant animal backpack. Click here to preorder!

Much like the patrons of the Ouran High School Host Club find themselves addicted to its charms, I too have caught the disease. The anime/manga series features an intelligent young female who lives out her days as a male host in order to pay off her to debt to the host club. Anyone who reads shoujo is in no way impressed at this point I'm guessing. So what makes this different? Sure all the guys are in love with her as is typical, but the show is just so funny! Amidst all the cliches are some genuinely hilarious moments of sheer joy (for me anyway). Maybe I should be more embarassed for myself. Click here to shop the series.

So I saw the "Tragedy of Soft Ice Cream" goods series including those displayed below and had to understand where they came from. So this is how this post came to be. I love how these ice creams have internal organs and bones. Thus making all the killings that much creepier.
